Koi Quest
Various illustrations and animations from Koi Quest slot machine at Big Fish Casino. Slot gameplay designed by Jeffrey Uss, art direction by Peter Wasielewski. I was lead artist and animator on this project.
The slot tells the story of the koi fish who has to jump through the gate to become a dragon.
Unfortunately I can't really show some of the bigger animations on Art Station.

The idea was to have a kind of Chinese Watercolor feel, only much more fun and vibrant.
Two different watery VFX. The sparkle goo was for the jackpot ingot, and the blue splash was for the royal symbols. The blue splash is re-colorable, with a bit of transparency it mimicked the effect of wet watercolor.

Scatter symbol "hit" animation
VFX from the picker mini game to draw a visual correlation between the coin picked and the reward received. The start and end points could be moved around and the color of the effect itself could be recolored to resemble different water colors.
