After the initial game jam and a gameplay demo was made, the Gambit factions were nailed down and I got to do some additional concepts.
The Cabal - tried to make some designs that push them into the realms of forbidden scholars, astronomers, chemists, and necromancers. They have vast libraries of forbidden knowledge and powerful ancient relics.
Exile - tried to come up with some cool nomad costumes that are a patchwork of different cultures, but still with strong unified elements.
The Empire - a mix of art deco and ancient Egyptian styles. A mix of military styles and jazz Divas and mafia crime bosses. Their top leaders would be broadcasters, crooners and silent film stars with the charisma to enthrall and command entire legions.
The Grove- they are the forest-dwelling faction. I wanted to explore if instead of presiding over a pristine habitat, they're plant-mutants trying to defend a toxic, corrupted forest.
Underground - Rogues are cool, wanted to see if I could make them a little more modern. (I was really trying to make the case for fish-people.)
